A distinguishing feature is that the lugged and brazed hand built frame is produced from the highest quality Chromoly steel, rather than heavier hi-ten steel found on most steel bike frames today. As a result, the overall frame weight is lighter than the average Dutch-style bicycle without compromising on durability, making the Churchill Classic the perfect fit for navigating through traffic jams, lifting on and off trains or up and down city steps.

The Churchill is available with 5 speed Sturmey Archer hub gears and fully enclosed Sturmey Archer hub drum brakes. Enclosing the gears protects the machinery from the weather, ensuring much lower maintenance than the derailleur systems found on most bicycles. And the combination of internal gears with a chainguard along with coatguards and leather mudflap means spandex can be thrown out and suits can be thrown on with little worry for splatters and spills. The Brooks® leather saddle and Brooks® leather grips add that final touch guaranteeing a luxurious commute without a bead of sweat on the brow.
